Founded in 1965, the winery is located in sunny Spain near Toledo in the La Mancha region which has flat terrain, without great altitude and with reddish soil, a result of the sedimentary limestone structure where the grapes have ideal climatic conditions and shallow clay-limestone soil providing the vines with the best growing conditions resulting in the production of extremely good and aromatic wines.

Color of the wine is deep ruby red, with a pleasant orange shade due to the ageing process. Persistent and soft flavor with well balanced tannins this well structured wine leaves the mouth clean and pleasantly satisfied. Ideal with roasted meat, well seasoned and spicy cheeses. It is excellent as a “meditative wine” to enjoy in good company.

The grapes are soft-pressed without skinning and maceration. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures of 16-18°C, very slowly and working with selected yeasts. Perlaga is purified in special hermetically sealed areas according to a technique known as the ‘Charmat Method’.
