Description

The winery was founded in 1931 by a group of thirty-eight winemakers, owners of medium and large vineyards. Their aim was to stop the migration of people from the countryside and to promote viticulture as a noble and profitable activity. Their actions continue to inspire today’s winemakers who face the challenges of an increasingly selective market.
Romolo Vimercati was the first winemaker of the cooperative winery and managed the company from 1931 to 1961. Starting in the 1960s, the Vineyard’s achievement was the recognition and prestige of local grape varieties. Of all, Barbera is the most representative wine in the area today. The microclimate of the grape-growing area, in the south-eastern part of Piedmont, with the unusual soil of the vineyards allows the production of extraordinary and wonderfully flavoured wines.
