Description

In 1927, Luigi Falezza was born. Already at the age of 6, he and his brothers and sisters would come to help their parents with the farm work.  They lived in the Villa “Bacco d’Oro”.  The villa belonged to the Conti Schiavoni family and was located in the Mezzane valley, the fields consisted of vineyards, wheat and polenta.  After the death of the Counts Schiavoni di Mezzane, the property was sold.

Luigi moved to San Felice and in 1974 bought the current campaign, which since 2001 has expanded to include the purchase of land in the Marcellise area, a hilly area near Verona and Mezzane di Sotto which is in the province of Verona.

It was here that Luigi transferred the varieties and ancient characteristics of certain grape varieties such as Corvina and Corvinone, using the Veronese pergola vine system.

The land where the Tenute Falezza estate is located extends around the vineyard, northeast of Verona.  The landscape is typically hilly consisting of vineyards and olive groves, this creates a unique and beautiful landscape.

Wine creations are done the way they used to be done.  Hard work, lovingly cultivated over the years, has led Falezza’s incredible wines to win major awards in a completely changed market.
