    Encosta de Bruma is the very best that Gorrena has to offer in terms of green teas. This is an exquisite tea produced exclusively from the terminal bud and the first leaf of the plant. The tea bushes are grown on the highest ridge of the Gorreana tea plantation and are harvested in late July and early August when the constant fog protects the leaves from the intense sunlight. The plant acquires its subtle sweet and light characteristics during this period due to the climatic conditions of rainfall, relative humidity and average air temperature. This tea is ideal to be enjoyed as a morning or afternoon tea. It is very rich in tannins and antioxidants hence it is known for its various health benefits.

    Obtained from the dough of rind and lean parts of national pork, it is mixed with white wine, salt, pepper, delicately flavoured with nutmeg, and stuffed in natural bovine casing.

    Traditionally accompanied in the Ferrara, Modena and Bolognese kitchen by steamed cooked lentils or potatoes pureé, it historically represents the good auspicious dish.

    Before serving, boil in water for about 30 minutes without opening the special vacuum bag. The sose that it produces can be later used for preparation of tasty bread (replacing the use of olive oil).

    Parmigiano Reggiano Montecoppe aged 24 months has reached the perfect ageing time to be tasted and to express to the nose and the palate a richness of scents and aromas in perfect balance.

    The “lactic family” develops and next to the milk and the butter you can appreciate notes of melted butter and crust, thanks to the long ageing.
    Fresh fruit and citrus appear beside notes of dried fruit and spices. The cheese develops hints of sweetness and the texture is both crumbly and soft at the same time.

    Montecoppe’s Parmesan cheese (Parmigiano Reggiano) is produced in the prestigious hilled regions of Emilia Romagna and it is made from the raw milk of the own cows fed on a special diet.  The cheese is then matured to PDO standards (Protected Denomination of Origin).

    This black tea is a combination of Gorreana Pekoe black tea, naturally flavoured with bergamot essential oil from India. The black tea Pekoe is produced only from the second leaf of the plants’ bud; it is harvested from mid-April until June, following the harvest of Orange Pekoe when the leaves are more mature although still young. The result is a tea aromatic and burly.
