Description
San Giuliano Marquis Farm is located between Catania and Syracuse, home to a pastry and jam lab.
The land of about 250 hectares, cultivated with biological methods, has been in the family for 800 years and owes its uniqueness to the fertile and volcanic soil, full of citrus groves, mandarins, oranges, mangoes and with an olive grove.
The jams come from an ancient family recipe that is written down in Maria Paternò’s Castello dei Duchi di Carcaci cookbook, and have been part of a homemade breakfast for generations.
With commitment and determination, they have grown over the years, establishing themselves in the market for their uniqueness and completely artisanal production with attention to the finest details. Today, they continue the family tradition in the company, using only natural ingredients and always relying on traditional experience.
Following old family recipes, they make jams in the lab using only fresh fruit from their citrus groves and selected organic ingredients.
The cultivation methods are regulated by the organic regulations of the European Community.
They have been officially organic since 1993, and all fertilization is purely organic, beneficial insects are introduced so you can get healthier fruit than with chemical treatments.
Currently, the company is under the control of Ecogruppo Italia, which is one of the certification bodies authorized to certify organic farming companies.
